"YOU ARE TO TEACH YOUR CHILDREN"

As I sat with my Bible open, reading through the ancient words of Deuteronomy 6, I felt something awaken in me, a calling, a responsibility, a fire. “You are to teach them diligently to your children.” These words echoed not only in my ears but in my heart. They were not a suggestion; they were a command. A way of life, it was a command directly for me and my house from ADONAI Elohim! Such a simple command, yet overseen and frequently dismissed as by a corporate body thinking it is something of the past.

I began to reflect on what it means to truly teach the next generation the ways of ADONAI, not just on Sundays or Wednesdays, not just before meals or at bedtime, but “when you sit… when you walk… when you lie down and when you rise.” That is what stirred this devotional into being.

This book is not simply a collection of teachings and prayers. It is a tool, a guide, and prayerfully, a spark. It is designed for the rhythm of everyday life, to help children love the LORD their God with all their heart, soul, and strength. It is for parents, grandparents, teachers, and caregivers who believe that the most sacred classroom is the home, and the most important curriculum is God’s Word.

I write not as a perfect man, but as a father, a servant, and a child of God still learning. I believe that when we walk with our children in love and truth, the Kingdom of God is revealed in simple moments: a bedtime prayer, a morning conversation, a shared verse around the dinner table.

May this book encourage you to build your home on the foundation of Scripture, to plant seeds of faith in young hearts, and to remind you, every single day, that loving God and loving others is the greatest commandment we could ever live by. Let us rise up and teach them well.
